Roof Truss Production Coordinator

KTF Housing Ltd is a leading Timber Frame Housing & Truss Manufacturing Company based in Dundalk, Co. Louth. Due to increased growth in our business, we are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Roof Truss Production Co-ordinator to lead and oversee all aspects of our roof truss manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing production teams, ensuring quality and safety standards, maintaining production schedules, and driving continuous improvement within the plant.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day production activities and deliveries in the roof truss plant to ensure efficient, safe and high-quality output.
• Oversee and control production schedules to meet customer deadlines.
• Lead, train, and motivate production staff to achieve performance goals.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Collaborate with design, sales, and logistics teams to ensure accurate and timely order fulfilment.
• Monitor and manage inventory of raw materials and finished goods.
• Implement and drive continuous improvement initiatives in production processes and workflow.
• Track production metrics, generate reports, and analyse data to identify and resolve bottlenecks.
• Ensure adherence to company quality control standards and customer specifications.
  
  Requirements
• Proven experience (3+ years) in roof truss manufacturing or a related building materials production environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Strong understanding of truss design, manufacturing processes, and materials.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and design specifications.
• Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Computer proficiency; experience with truss design software (e.g. Gangnail/Matrix) is a plus.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  
  Preferred Qualifications
• Certification or training in production management, Lean manufacturing, or quality management an advantage.
• Experience with ERP or production scheduling systems.
• Familiarity with building codes related to roof truss systems.

Roof Truss Designer

KTF Housing Ltd is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Roof Truss Designer with at least 2 years of experience in truss design or a related field. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing roof truss and floor systems using specialised software, ensuring accuracy, structural integrity, and compliance with building codes and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design roof truss and floor systems for residential, commercial, and industrial projects using truss design software (e.g.Gangnail/Matrix).
• Interpret architectural and structural drawings, specifications, and building codes to produce accurate designs.
• Prepare CNC files for optimisation of materials for Hundegger Saws.
• Communicate effectively with customers, engineers, sales staff, and production teams to clarify requirements and resolve design issues.
• Ensure designs meet safety standards, load requirements, and manufacturing capabilities.
• Revise and update designs as required to accommodate field conditions or customer changes.
• Assist with estimating and providing design-related technical support for the sales team.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Roof Truss Designer or in a similar structural design role.
• Proficiency with truss design software such as Gangnail or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural plans and specifications.
• Strong understanding of roof and floor framing systems, load paths, and structural requirements.
• Familiarity with local and national building codes.
• Excellent attention to detail, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Knowledge of Cambium Software for Hundegger Saws

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AutoCAD or other drafting tools.
• Exposure to Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices.

KTF Housing Ltd are currently recruiting for an experienced Combi-lift Driver based in Dundalk. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a Forklift Combi vehicle in a safe and efficient manner while ensuring that products and materials are loaded and unloaded accurately and on time.

Responsibilities:

• Moving of materials to/from storage and production areas.
  • Ensure safe loading and unloading of deliveries
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any issues to maintenance.
  • Follow all health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the Combi vehicle and the store areas.
  • Assist in other duties as required.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2-year experience operating Combi-lift.
  • Valid Combi-lift license.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills with good attention to detail and ability to work accurately.
